During the winter months, I tend to get a little dry on the cheeks and turn to my Hydramax + Moisture Boost Cream to take care of the issue. I use it at bedtime, followed by my night cream. That way it seals in the moisture and works really well for me. I also have sensitive skin with alot of redness but the Hydramax soothes it and calms my skin before any of the usual itching from dry skin sets in. I don't know how I ever got through a winter without it before.

LOVE it!! Moisturizes very well. Compatible with all skin types. Leaves skin soft, smooth, supple & hydrated. A little goes a long way. Easy to scoop the cream out of a jar than a pump where as cream in a pump tends to get wasted. Chanel is highly reputable. Try it!

This product has a fresh--though strong--smell, which I don't mind, and it's nice and creamy and not greasy after application. I tend to get pimples from 'sensitive' products but my skin reacted very well to this, and I felt fresh-faced all day. I wish it had SPF in it, but at 115 euros it's already expensive enough!
I'm not sure if it's worth the price, but it does make you feel special on the occasions that you use it!

This is a great product, did magic on my sensitive combination skin and is non oily. LOVE it!

Upon finishing the gel-cream of this verion in 1.5months which I like tho it's not moisturizing enough for my 33yo normal skin, I decided to get this cream version last week.

Plumped and soft skin in the morning without greasiness/oiliness. Similar result as Decleor's Iris balm but I prefer Chanel's coz it doesn't make my front/side hair oily/wet like the Iris balm, and it's cheaper than Decleor by 1/3.
I'll still use the Iris balm as once a week treatment before shower coz it really strenghten and improve skin condition, but as daily moisturiser, Chanel's moisture boost cream is my HG for now.

Very nice going on, pretty blue, nice scent, sinks right in, but I found it very drying after all. The serum works well, but the other products of this line feel like they have an ingredient that on my skin is very drying and it brought out fine lines that made me look awful. What it did do positively is keep my skin matte, and take away redness. It stung a bit though, so there must be some ingredient that my face doesn't like. No go for me, but I can see younger or oilier skins loving this. It is not heavy or greasy at all, by the way.
UPDATE: Well, I have been using my sample for a week now just during the day and frankly, I am really beginning to love this product. My face needs no touch ups during the day because it doesn't get oily at all, and it no longer bothers my skin either. My face feels really comfortable and with no shininess, I am laughing. My pores seem less pronounced because of the lack of oil, and the dryness around my cheeks appears much improved. I may actually buy this product. I do love the serum, and rely on it all winter or when my skin feels bad. I don't know about at night whether this is enough for me because I want anti-aging, but during the day, so far, this is pretty good.
UPDATE: I am really loving this. It does not increase the pore size, it leaves my skin matte all day, is NOT irritating at all!!!!, and I love the smell and the feel. I wish it were a tad bit more emollient, but I can layer it for winter. Loving this.
UPDATE**** I WAS REVIEWING THE CREAM ONE LEVEL BELOW THIS ONE - I just bought this one, the COMFORT Moisture boost and let me say, I am just LOVING it! No reaction whatsoever, more lipids so my skin does not dry out at all, and I don't get oily and my skin looks fantastic. Does not increase pore size, and it seems to tone down the redness so my skin looks even and fairer. I am just LOVING THIS!!!! I will be repurchasing absolutely and sticking to this one. I may be purchasing an anti-aging serum one day in addition, but right now, fantastic. My skin loves Chanel skincare I guess! Oh yea, though, one thing: I cannot stand the scent - way to strong and sweet so I breathe through my mouth until the scent goes away.
UPDATE - THIS IS DISCONTINUED. I ONLY FOUND ONE IN THE WHOLE CITY. CRAPP!!!!!!

I'm always on the hunt for a great moisturizer, and have tried lots and lots. Eventually you narrow down your favourites and end up going back to them every now and then. Well this is one of them creams, and after using Creme de la Mer and all other fancy ones I think this may be getting the coveted HG for me. The cream itself is pale blue and smells lovely. It glides other your skin and leaves my face plump and glowing. The technology behind this sounds interesting too- certain patented ingredients. I do recommend it. See my other reviews for other good creams, and remember to always wear the precious sunscreen!!!

I have used two jars of this 1.5 years ago along with the entire Hydramax range. It was during a time when I just started working in an office environment and my face was getting rather dry from all the aircon and multiple LCD monitors. I loved the texture and the smell. You only need to use a little bit and it goes a long way. It was one of the few products I actually finished and wasn't sick of. It did make my skin break out for the first few weeks but I was glad I stuck to it because it worked a treat in the long run (I think my skin takes some time getting use to new products). I will definitely purchase this someday again, just not right now (I have so many new goodies to play with at the moment :) )

This smells really good. The texture is really nice and smooth but after around the second time i used it i noticed that it was clogging the pores around my chin area. Maybe a little to moisturizing for my skin. It also left my t-zone looking way shiny. It just wasen't a comfortable feeling moisturizer at all.

Heard so many good reviews about this product so I decided to give it a try - got a sample from nordstrom. I tried it on at night and the next morning I had red rashes on my face. I can have sensitive skin but never had such a dramatic side effect. Wouldn't buy again. This is why you need to try out samples before you buy.

I like the smell of this cream. It makes my face glow and it fell supersoft and well moisturised. I live in a country were it´s cold and windy durng he winter and this works very well with the climat here. I wouldn´t weare this during the summer, but I´m curiouse about the gel version of this then. It is kind of thick but goes in very well after a couple of minutes. This is perfect if you have dry or dehydrated skin.

I so wanted to love this, but it did nothing for me. After I read the reviews here I thought it would be HG material, but no.
Although I really adore the scent, it broke me out, which normally never (!!) hapens. En I still had dry patches on my face. The cream doesn't sink into your skin, before I could put on make-up I had to swipe off the residue with a tissue. Even after 10 minutes! I also noticed that even after 5 minutes of putting this on, my skin was already dry again with flaky patches. That doesn't happen with other moisturizers. So dissapointed. Such a shame it cost soo much. I'm sticking with estee lauder, they're the best. I'm putting this up for swap.

I adore this moisturizer so much! I bought the cream gel version though. Although it is very pricey, however I find that it absorbs quickly into my skin, giving it a matt look and controls oil very well. Cause I have sensitive, dehydrated yet oily skin, its very difficult to find a light moisuturiser that doesnt break me out. Im so thankful to chanel for this excellent product! Wow. I'm very impressed with this cream, though expensive, I consider this a sound investment. I've always had great luck with Chanel products, weather it's their makeup, makeup remover or tinted moisturizer...this stuff didn't let me down one bit!. I have clear skin, yet very dry and when winter rolls around it gets even drier. This is a thick and somewhat heavy cream that delivers plenty of moisture through out the day and when I wash my face at night and put it on, I wake up the next morning with glowing skin. I have been using this regularly for some time now (I'm on my first jar) and my complexion looks flawless, it's actually improved the look of my skin. I like the jar, it's very nice looking and since my hands are always clean when I apply, I don't mind the jar for sanitation reasons. The cream has a blue tint to it and smells like fresh linen. I have sensitive skin and this hasn't given me any problem. I'm a customer for life!

Love it love it love it - total HG product. I love the entire Chanel line. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny. My rosacea-prone, dry skin has never looked better. I love the look and feel of this product and layer it over the Hydramax + Moisture Boost Serum for an extra dose of hydration. Fabulous!!

What else can I say? A total HG for me! I wish it comes with SPF but that doesn't bother me since I wear sunscreen everyday.
I love the scent, I love how it moisturize my face, leaving it all glowy & radiant. My face is now more supple, smooth and radiant. Perfect for my combination skin, never broke me out! I use this mainly during the day & at night when I'm not using any Retin-A treatment. I use it underneath EL ANRC. Finally found my HG for moisturizer. Update: I've stopped using this. Something in it does not react well with my skin since I switched from RAM to Taz. Very red skin for 70 bucks a jar!
I also prefer a dewier finish, so I've switched to LRP Toleraine Fluid and couldn't be happier.

I have the gel cream version and I absolutely loooove it... Makes my skin soft and smooth! My skin is prone to breakouts and this has not broken me out after one week of usage. If I'm sensitive to a product it usually shows up the next morning, My skin seems to be agreeing with this moisturizer though! I think hydrating products really made a difference to my blemished face. It doesn't totally get rid of pimples coz they still come every once in a while. But what this gel cream does is it takes care of your overall skin appearance. It absorbs well, isn't sticky and makes my skin soft upon application. My skin got more healthy and plump. And I don't have dry patches anymore. (those dry patches from applying pimple cream too frequently).. So now when my pimples are healing, I don't have to worry about dry patches coz this moisturizer takes care of that!! I don't recommend using the whole range though. Made my skin sticky. I just bought the serum and this gel cream. Skipped the rest in the range.
Price is a little bit on the expensive side, but looking at the amount in the jar and the amount I used, I think this will last me 6 months minimum. And a lot of people are complaining about the packaging, but I actually like the jar packaging. LOL.. It's more classic and you won't waste product and can easily make sure you scoop every last bit out.

I love this cream. It looks rich and think and like it might leave a greasy film on your face, but does completely the opposite. It glides on smooth and immediately melts into your skin. My skin felt soft and moisturized the whole day and the smell is extremely fresh and energizing. I wish they made it with spf so I wouldn't need to put on a layer on sunscreen first, but this product is worth every penny spent! (and I spent several pennies on this one) If they added spf to it, it'd be my HG...but its definitely up there!

I love this cream!!!, it is a thick but not over thick cream which has a light blue-ish tint to it, and it smells very very good, sometimes I feel like leaving a little strip under my nose!!haha jk, no but for reals I love this cream, I use under my MAC prep& prime and T-mat shine control, since I am oily, and when I first got this I thought it was going to be too thick but its not at all, the price is expensive, but trust me it wayyy worth it. Like every other chanel product i've tried I love it. the packaging could get better though, thats why I gave it a four instead of five, since my nails are usually long, the cream can get under them, and thats just a waste!! :( continued >>
